Long VITT

Image
There is an increased rate of coagulation disorders following all COVID-19 vaccines. One example is Vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT). It happens when the body's defense mechanisms incorrectly target and kill platelets, small cell fragments that aid in blood clotting. VITT can lead to significant morbidity and mortality due to the various thrombosis-related complications. A 56-year-old man with a history of high blood pressure and high cholesterol developed left leg claudication and a persistent new right calf pain after receiving the first dose of the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine, A right leg venous doppler ultrasound confirmed a great saphenous vein thrombosis with an extension to the femoral vein. CT angiogram showed an infrarenal aortic thrombus occluding 50% of the lumen and a left popliteal artery thrombosis without significant atherosclerosis. A CT pulmonary angiogram was done and revealed multiple segmental pulmonary embolisms. Brain imaging showed a cer...

Stroke Among SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Recipients: cases with unusual presentation

Image
Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee met yesterday  (1/26/2023), to continue investigating preliminary data indicating a possible stroke risk following simultaneous administration of the Pfizer Covid booster and the flu vaccine. FDA is launching a study to look into this possibility. Two weeks ago , we reviewed some of the VAERS reports in the 65+ age group. Multiple case reports describing stroke after COVID-19 vaccination have been published in medical literature. Some had unusual presentations.  A 43‐year‐old male patient with uneventful medical history was admitted 23 days after receiving a first dose of ChAdOx1 nCoV‐19 vaccine. Symptoms of headache, falls, and unsteadiness began 7 days after vaccination. At admission, he presented with reduced vigilance, multiple blue, or purple bruises in all extremities and left‐sided hemiparesis. The bruises had the typical clinical characteristics of hematomas after subcutaneous bleeding and were painful, ...

Stroke after Pfizer’s updated booster shots

Image
In early January 2023, it become known that the CDC's near real-time surveillance system (the Vaccine Safety Datalink containing health records of more than 12 million Americans) detected a possible increase in ischemic stroke in people 65 and older who recently got one of Pfizer’s ( BioNTech)  updated  booster shots.  It found that 130 seniors had the stroke within 21 days of the shot ( compared with days 22-44 following vaccination ).  This 'met the statistical criteria to prompt additional investigation', the CDC statement said.  CDC officials used an alternative methodology to conduct a different analysis in the VSD database but could not replicate the finding.  They also checked the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services system, containing 83.9 million individuals, and the Veterans Affairs database, with nine million people. Neither dataset indicated an increased risk of ischemic stroke following a bivalent vaccine.  A large study of updated (...

48-year old male dies days after receiving the AstraZeneca jab

Image
Rock musician, 48, died on May 19 2021 days after receiving the AstraZeneca jab.  An inquest held at  Newcastle Coroner's Court  heard how the 48-year-old fell ill with a migraine on May 13, before his condition severely deteriorated in the following days. The individual had suffered from an "excruciating" headache and called for an ambulance on May 15th.  The paramedic who arrived on scene gave evidence at the inquest and said that the patient was “alert and sat up”. His temperature and blood pressure where in the “normal range”. She then advised the patient to go to hospital for further checks, but he said he did not want to go for fear of catching COVID.  A couple of days later, on May 17, another paramedic was called to the patient's home, where he appeared “confused and vacant”. He already had a small seizure and was immediately taken to a hospital. T he neurosurgeon who operated on the patient, said when he arrived, both of his pupils were unresponsive to ...

34-year old woman dies due to 'brain bleed' side effect of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine

Image
A 34-year-old woman began experiencing horrific headaches eight days after the dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine in March 2021. As her condition worsened, she was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead 17 hours later, on March 24, 2021. At the time of her death, there was not enough information about the relationship between the COVID-19 jab and brain bleeding.  Te cause of deaths was determined as Vaccine-Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia (VITT) She was a kind, fun-loving mother of two boys who loved to dance. Healthy 18-year old dies after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca

Image
An 18-year-old woman started experiencing symptoms 9 days after vaccination.  She checked into the emergency room complaining of severe headaches and extreme light sensitivity. A CT scan and neurological tests found nothing, so doctors discharged her and recommended to return in 15 days for further tests. But she returned to the hospital just two days later. She now suffered from paralysis in at least one part of her body. This time she was diagnosed with  cavernous sinus thrombosis , meaning a blood clot in the space between the eye sockets and brain. It blocked the primary vein between her head and the heart. Doctors also discovered that she had a brain bleed . She underwent two surgeries, one to remove the blood clot and the second to relieve pressure in her head caused by the bleeding. But the damage was done.  She died 5 days later,  She was previously healthy and was not taking any medications.  REFERENCES Camilla, who died at the age of 18 after AstraZene...

An 18-year-old female dies from a blood clot two weeks after having her Covid vaccination.

Image
An 18-year-old female was admitted to a hospital after she was experiencing 'thunder-clap' headaches,  the "worst headache" she had ever experienced,  two weeks after receiving her first dose of AstraZeneca Covid vaccine. An inquest heard the headaches were the result of thrombosis in her sinus cavity.  Because of her low platelet count, doctors initially ruled out a brain hemorrhage. She suffered all of the "common" side effects of the vaccine but hoped these would last approximately 12 to 18 hours, the inquest heard. But two weeks later she was "screaming in pain" with the "worst headache" she had ever experienced. Despite this, a CT scan was reported as "normal". Three days after her admission, she was administered a dose of platelets and her inquest heard that she began to rapidly deteriorate. She suffered from fits and was "not responding to seizure control", the inquest heard. She was then incubated and put on ...
